M. Wells [Calloway County, County Clerk, Murray, KY; Settlement Books; Roll 31 includes v. B, (C missing), D, E, & H; 1868-1879, 1892-1911, 1927-1934]: Notes: (1) Reuben Wells (3/11/1802-3/6/1868) and Nancy (Thomas) Wells (10/6/1808-3/4/1868) are buried in the Ivy Cemetery near Murray, KY. (2) The children of RW & NTW in birth order with entry identification from probate record below are as follows: Mary Susanna -- J F & Mary Walker Elizabeth T. (husband named but ET not named) -- J H Ragsdale Lucinda Frances (m Hay & Owens) -- Lucinda F Owens Martha Virginia -- Martha Mincys ? (Martha's first husband was Charles Dowdy, who apparently died prior to the 1850 census) Dolly Ann -- John M & D A Byrd Peter Alfonso (wife not named) -- P A Wells Catherine Matilda -- W H & C M Roberts Eliza Tennessee -- J M & Eliza T Morris (Hariott Parilee b/d 1843/1844) Nancy Emeline -- W A & Nancy E Ivie (3) Some researchers identify Rebecca Anne Wells (1845-1924), wife of Marion A. Jones, as another daughter of RW & NTW; however, she does not appear with the family in the 1850 census or in the probate record below; Claiborne & Rebecca Wells of Calloway County do have a daughter named Rebecca.
