THOMAS H. NELSON was born November 7, 1808, in Campbell County, which has since been divided, on the west side of Licking River, where he now resides. He is a son of Haden and Jane (Kendal) Nelson. Haden Nelson was born in Orange County, Va., and came to Kentucky in about 1800, settled in Fayette County, and afterward moved to Campbell County in 1807. His wife, Jane Kendal, was born in Maryland, and came to Kentucky at an early date. Our subject was brought up on the farm, and received his education at the common schools. He has followed farming all his life, and now has 375 acres of broken and rough land in Kenton County. April 18, 1833, he married Sarah Hawkins, a daughter of John and Joana (Harrison) Hawkins. To this union two children have been born: Haden N. and an infant. In politics Mr. Nelson is a Democrat. *******************************************************************************
