Third Street, Newport, widely known musician, who died late Monday of pneumonia after being ill less than a week, will be held Thursday at 8:30 a.m. from the home, with requiem mass at 9 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery. Altho a native of Germany, Gasdorf had been a resident of Newport 53 years. He began the study of music at an early age and was organizer and director of the Gasdorf Band, composed of his five sons. He retired 17 years ago. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Machinot Gasdorf, and 10 children. The children are: Robert Gasdorf, Newport, patrolman; Harry, Elmer, Alfred, John and Miss Elvera Gasdorf, Mrs. Tillie R_es, Mrs. Elizabeth Moran, Mrs. Cora Henrich and Mrs. Mamie Lock. *******************************************************************************
