Travel 7 tenths of mile and you will see Fraley Chapel on your left. Just the other side ofFraley Chapel (looks like it might almost be part of their gravel parking lot) a small paved road turns to the left off of Hwy 504. Take this little paved road. Travel just under 1 mile. On your left will be Gilliam Cemetery Road. Travel just under one mile on this road to Gilliam Cemetery. Walk straight over the point from Gilliam Cemetery and you will find this little graveyard inside a wooden fence, barely standing. Enter through a little gate to a clean, well kept area with all stones standing. First row: 1. Shared stone, SHUMATE, Maggie Day, born Oct 15, 1862, died Apr 1, 1929, and William A., born Apr 9, 1857, died Mar 30, 1928, "Gone but not forgotten". 2. A handmade stone cut from a large firebrick with the mark of the Halderman Firebrick Company. The stone has the word BABY in black paint block lettering, very well done. Second row: 1. This, too, is a handmade stone, just as the other, but with faint lettering above the BABY in the same black paint, block style - looks like it may have said SHUMATE BABY. 2.
