                                                     March 10, 1931

     I, James Kibbey realize that life is uncertain hereby make this my last 
Will and testament.
     I hereby will to each of my children One Dollar and to Robert Kibbey my 
son I hereby will my personal and real estate to hold or dispose of at will.  
Said Robert Kibbey to assume all liability against said Estate and property at 
my death.

Additional Comments:
The story goes that Jim had reluctantly taken out a mortgage against the farm 
to plant a fruit orchard.  By this time all the other children had married and 
left home except for Robert, and Jim thought that Robert had the best chance at 
making a go of the farm and paying off the mortgage. (The Kibbey farm is said 
to have straddled the Carter/Greenup County line.)
