State of Kentucky, County of Carter, SS, On this 3rd day of August A.D. one thousand eight hundred and ninety seven, personally appeared before me James M. Littleton, Notary Public within and for the County and State aforesaid, Martha P. Harrison aged 31 years, a resident of the State Fire Clay Kentucky County of Carter, State of Kentucky, who being duly sworn according to law, declares that she is the widow of Thomas B. Harrison who enlisted under the name of Thomas B. Harrison at on the 19th day of August A.D. 1862 in Co. E 66 Ind. Inft.. No prior nor subsequent Service and served at least ninety days in the late war of the Rebellion, who was Honarably Discharged April 6, 1863 and died Feb. 26, 1897 That she was married under the name of Martha P. Lee to said Thomas B. Harrison, on the 18th day of July 1884, by Rev. D.F. Lee, at Dudley Williams house there being no legal barrier to such marriage (If there was a former marriage of claimant or her husband state it here and how dissolved) Thomas B. Harrison was formerly married which marriage was Dissolved by the Death of his former Wife. That she has not remarried since the death of the said Thomas B. Harrison. That she is without other sufficient means of support than her daily labor. That names and dates of birth of all the children now living under sixteen years of age of the soldier (or sailor) are as follows: Rosa Harrison born May 20th 1885 Sarah Harrison born March 4th 1888 Albert Harrison Allen Harrison Both born June the 12 - twins 1891 Charley Harrison born february the 13, 1893 Dicey Harrison born July the 5th 1894 Thomas J. Harrison born September the 10, 1895 That no prior application for pension has been filed by widow Soldier a pensioner by Cert. No. 874,211 That she makes this declaration for the purpose of being placed on the pension roll of the United States under the provisions of the Act of June 27, 1890. She hereby appoints, with power of substitution, Milo B. Stevns & Co., of Washington, D.C., their successors or legal representatives, her true and lawful attorneys to prosecute her claim. Wilburn, residing at fire Clay persons whom I certify to be respectable and entitled to credit, and who, being by me duly sworn, say they were present and saw Martha P. Harrison, claimant, sign her name (or make her mark) to the foregoing declaration; that they have every reason to believe from the appearance of said claimant and an acquaintance with her of Wilburn 20 years and with Garvis 10 years, respectively, that she is the identical person she represents herself to be; and that they have no interest in the prosecution of this claim.
