Grayson Journal Enquirer
Grace Francis Allen, 75, passed away January 18, 1994.  Born April 12, 1918 in Knott
County; daughter of the late James P. and Mary Everidge Francis.

A former teacher in the Greenup, Floyd and Carter County school systems; a member of
the Carter County Poetry Society, Carter County Retired Teacher's Association and a
Methodist.

Survivors: her husband, Woodrow Allen; two sons, James Melvin Allen and Lawrence W. 
Allen; a brother, William Francis; two sisters, Joy Cooper and Catherine Catlin; 4
grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements by Sparks Funeral home.  Memorial service conducted at the
Allen Cemetery in Floyd County.
