The Daily Independent
William Ray Carper, 71, passed away Sept. 10, 1996.  Born Nov. 5, 1924 in Carter Co.
A son of the late Albert and Annie Clifton Carper.  Preceded in death by a son,
Kenneth Carper.
A retired employee of Clifton & Sons Const. Co. where he worked for 25 yrs; a former
employee of Carter County Board of Education; a World War II Veteran; member of the
Church of Christ in Carter City.

Survivors: his wife, Betty Messer Carper; 3 daughters, Donna Carper, Kathy Moberly
and Carolyn Green; two sons, Russell Carper and Morton Caper; four sisters, Ruth
Newman, Lucy King, Wilma Fouch and Edna Wright; 4 brothers, Ottis, Howard, Ralph and
Charles; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements by Sparks Funeral Home. Burial in Horsley Cemetery, Carter  Co.
KY.
