Ervin Cooper died November 12, 1989 at the age of 73.  He was born Sept. 8, 1916 in
Carter City; a son of the late Russell and Inez Cartee Cooper.

He was a retired farmer, a World War II Army Veteran; member of the Christian
Holiness Church, the Disabled American Veterans Unit 17 and Kentucky-Indiana
Paralyzed Veterans.

Survivors: his wife, Velda Roe Cooper; a daughter, Wilma Vay Theinert; a son,
Kenneth Cooper; two sisters, Marie Jordan and Dorthy Jessie; four brothers, Rev.
Elwood Cooper, Frank Cooper, Herbert Cooper and Horace Cooper; three grandchildren.

Malone Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.  Funeral services were conduced
by Russell Burnett.  Burial in the Stone Cemetery in Lewis County.
