E." Crum passed away Nov. 30, 2001 at the age of 93. He was born May 22, 1908 in Tennessee; a son of the late George Tide and Elizabeth Haney Crum. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Crum. He graduated from George Washington University; served in the Army during World War II; an accountant for the U. S. Air Force at the Pentagon until retirement in 1975; a member of the American Legion in Kentucky and Washington, D. C.; member of the Grayson Rotary Club; attended Bagby Memorial United Methodist Church in Grayson and a member of the Boulevard Baptist Church in Washington, D. C. He was involved in planning and establishing the Hitchins Volunteer Fire Department. He once was a candidate for state representative. Survivors: a foster son, John Moffett; a sister, Nina Belle Prutty; and a brother, Ralph Parsons. Funeral arrangements by Sparks Funeral Home. Burial in Rose Hill Burial Park.
