Velma Myrtle Haney, 96, died Feb. 19, 1999.  She was born Feb. 17, 1902 in Wolfe to
the late Albert and Flora Burton Burchett.  She was proceeded in death by her
husband, Hobart, "Toop" Haney in 1979.   She was a former cook at the Carter Co.
Jail, a Kentucky Colonel, a member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 10 and attended
Gregoryville Christian Holiness Church. 

Survivors: two sons, Carl Ray Haney and Hayden Haney; two daughters, Thelma H.
Prichard and Mary Faye Sweeney; a sister, Sallie Haney; eight grandchildren; and
nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements by Malone Funeral Home.  Burial in East Carter Co Memory
Gardens.
