David Haney of Sutton died July 20, 1988 at the age of 63. He was born March 4, 1925
in Carter County; a son of the late Joe and Stella Ottino Haney.

He was co-owner of Haney's Jewelry and retired bus driver for the Carter County
School System.

Survivors: his wife, Ruth Menix Haney; a daughter, Carol Lynn James; a son, Paul Ray
Haney; a granddaughter; two step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a
daughter, Brenda Kay Haney.  

Funeral arrangements by Sparks Funeral Home.  Burial in the Haney Family Cemetery at
Sutton.
