Peter Johnson, 54, former resident of Carter County, died today in Mansfield, O.

Born Feb. 14, 1917, in Carter County, he was a son of Harlan Johnson of Niles,
O. and the late Eva Johnson.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Dixie Brown Johnson; a daughter, Mrs. Venus Wolfe
in Mansfield; a son, Phillip Johnson of Charlotte, S.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Agnes
Cline of Niles and Mrs. Alice McGlone of Windham, O., and a brother, Ray Johnson
of Lewisburg, O.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Leslie A.
Henderson Funeral Home in Olive Hill by the Rev. Bill Hartung.  Burial will be
in the Brown Cemetery in Elliott County.

The body will be returned to the funeral home where friends may call after 6
p.m. Tuesday.
