Beatrice Lewis passed away Jan. 4, 1996 at the age of 85.  She was born Nov. 9, 1910
in Carter County; a daughter of the late John and Minnie Carver Smith. She was
preceded in death by her husband, Martin S. Lewis.  

She was a housewife and member of the Smith Creek Christian Holiness Church for over
40 years.  

Survivors: one son, Homer E. Lewis; four daughters, Ruth Stamper, Mary Zornes, Betty
Frazier and Juanita Frazier; one sister, Nola Edwards; one brother, Bill Smith; 14
grandchildren; 18 great-grand children; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four children, Kathleen Mullins, Choloeanna Lewis,
Martin Lewis, Jr. and Edward Lewis.

Funeral arrangements by Sparks Funeral home.  Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery.
