Samuel R. Wilcox died Nov. 11, 1997 at the age of 84.  He was born Oct. 3, 1913 at
Deer Creek; a son of the late William and Anna Harris Wilcox.  He was preceded in
death by his wife, Elsie Keyes Wilcox and a son, William C. Wilcox.

He was a retired boilermaker with Local 105, a Wesleyan minister and attended
Willard Wesleyan Church. 

Survivors: a daughter, Alberta Lambert; three sons, Samuel Wilcox, Jr., Walter
Wilcox and David Wilcox; two brothers, Alan Wilcox and Paul Wilcox; 12 grandchildren
and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements by Malone Funeral Home.  Burial in East Carter County Memory
Gardens.
