Funeral services were conducted Friday at the Christian Church at Willard, KY, with the Rev. Taylor Wood officiating. Burial was in the Pennington Cemetery there. Mrs. Pennington was born February 20, 1877, in Carter County, KY, a daughter of the late Cornelius and Mary Riffe Holbrook. Her husband, V. G. (Litt) Pennington, died in 1946. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Charles O. Porter of Franklin Furnace, OH and Mrs. James E. Pennington of Maineville, OH; two sons, Russell G. Pennington of Columbus and Homer S. Pennington of Webbville; a stepson, Ernest Pennington of Grayson, KY; four sisters, Mrs. Olga Reeves of Ashland; Mrs. Loudella Reeves of Hitchins, KY, Mrs. Frances Bradley of Louisa and Mrs. John Childers of Wheelwright, KY; two brothers, J. H. Holbrook of Louisa Route 4, and C. D. Holbrook of Louisa, and 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Young Funeral Home.
