It is 1/2 mile north of Gilpin on Hwy 501. It sits up on a hill on the west side of Hwy 501. Here are the few stones and information. I have heard it called the "Ellison Cemetery" Tombstones read as follows: 1. Infant of Ross Patterson Mar 22, 1932 2. Twins Infant of Ross Patterson Feb 26, 1926 3. Neskerlener Jes Lawhorn June 7 1869 Aug 31, 1866 Dec 23, 1938 Mar 12, 1947 (NOTE: Delbert Ellison made this stone. Information provided per Terrill Ware, Father to Malena Darlene Ware Shaw who transcribed this information. Neskerlener is Malena's great great grandmother and Jes is Malena's great great grandfather.) 4. MOllie A Ellison 1848-1904 5. LOAMMA Ellison Born 1872 Died Mar 27, 1879 Age 7Y At rest with Jesus This information was transcribed by the hand of Malena Darlene (Ware) Shaw This is all that is in this cemetery. All the Lawhorn and Ellison stones are handmade and eroding badly.
