[broken stone] 9 ___ 1836 25 Oct 1863 Stone Broken Lawhorn, Franc[is] 1 ___ ____ 19 Jan 1852 Stone Broken Was a faithful Christian and of such are the Kingdom of Heaven. [Beside Francis there is a broken stone with only part of the inscription left which talks about a life of service to the Lord. May be the grave of Benjamin Lawhorn.] [Jane Leathers Lawhorn (17 Oct 1849-4 Jul 1926) was also buried here, next to her husband James. At this time she has no marker. This information is from her great grand-daughter who was at the funeral.] [Sophia Lawhorn, Apr 5, 1836 to 25 Mar 1911, third wife of Benjamin Lawhorn, Jr. was buried here, without a stone. This information is from her death certificate.] There are many other graves here with no markers. According to Mr. Cain the family came in to clean the cemetery and moved some of the markers. It started raining and they left and no one returned to finish cleaning up and replace the markers.
