Grant in Co Court Orders #12033  Bk. 24 Pg 194


WARRANT:
State of Kentucky
Casey County            Land Warrant No. 451

To the Principle Surveyor of Casey County  this shall be your Warrant to
Survey and lay off for Edmond Fair or his assignee fifty acres of land due
the said Edmond Fair by the payment  of  $ 2.00 as per the order of the
Treasurer of Casey County.
Given under my hand the 29th Day of March 1847

Surveyed for Edmund Fair 50 acres of land by virtue of an application N
1457 made at the Surveyors office of Casey County on the 3rd day of April
1847 on a Casey County Court Land Warrant N 451 for 50 acres situated in
Casey County on the Green River & bounded as followeth to wit: BEGINNING
at A , Two elms at the foot of a Bluff on the South side of Green River...
between E Fair & Walter Mills thence N 59 W 15 poles crosin[sic] the river
to a Whitewalnut near the water thence up the river N 11 E 100 poles
crossing the river to two Sycamors[sic] thence S 45 E 5 poles to a
Sycamore[sic] & Elm thence S 47 E 180 poles to a Sassafras thence S 15 E
124 poles to three Sugartrees on a Branch thence West 42 poles to a Beech
thence N 30 W 52 poles to a hickory thence North 26 poles to a beech
thence N 40 E 60 po;es to a Sassafras thens N 47 W 180 poles to an Elm and
Sycamore thence down the River S 36 W 16 poles S 15 W 32 poles South 20
poles S 40 W 37 poles to the BEGINNING April the 23d day 1847

William Owsley ESQ GOVERNOR OR THE COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY
 To all to whom these presents shall come, Greeting:
Know ye that by virtue and in condsideration a warrant from the Casey
County Court, there is granted by the said Commonwealth, unto Edmund Fair
a certain TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND, containing_fifty_acres by survey
bearing date the _23_day of _April_ one thousand eight hundred and _forty
seven_ lying and being in the county of _Casey on Green River and bounds
as followeth towit:
Beginning at 2 elms at the foot of a bluff on the South side of Green
river corner between E Fair and Walter Mills thence N 59 W 15 poles
crossing the river to a white walnut near the water thence up the river N
11 E 100 poles N 70 E 35 po;es crossing the river to two sycamores thence
S 45 E 5 poles to a Sycamore and elm thence S 47 E 180 poles to a
sassafras thence S 15 E 124 poles to three Sugartrees on a branch thence W
42 poles to a beech thence N 30 W 52 poles to a hickory thence N 26 poles
to a beech thence N 40 E 60 poles to a sassafras thence N 47 W 180 poles
to an elm & sycamore thence down the river S 36 W  16 poles S 15 poles W
32 poles S 5 W 20 poles S 20 poles S 37 poles to the BEGINNING._With the
appurtenunces: To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land, with
its appurtences, to the said _Edmund Fair_ and _his _ heirs forever.

In WITNESS WHEREOF: The said_William Owsley_Esq. Governor of the
Commonwealth of Kentucky, hath hereunto set his hand and caused the seal
of the Commonwealth to be affixed, at Frankfort, on the _20_day of
_July_in the year of our Lord , one thousand eight hundred and _forty
eight_ and of the Commonwealth the _ fifty seventh_.
