DEED: Ashley to Watson - 1894 - Casey County, Kentucky Casey County Deed Book 23 Page 571 This deed between John P Ashley and Nancy J Ashley his wife of the first part and John C Watson of the second part witnesseth that said party of the first part in consideration of the sum of four hundred dollars, three hundred and ten dollars in hand paid, ninety dollars to be paid in increments: first forty dollars to be paid on the first day of January, 1894, next fifty dollars to be paid on the first day of January 1895, each note bearing 6 per cent interest from date note liened returned in lieu of payment of said notes, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged do hereby we grant sell and convey to the party of the second part his heirs and assigns by the following described property of a certain tract or parcel of land lying in Casey County Ky on the waters of Knob Lick Creek and bounded as follows : vis beginning at a stone in G.C. Morgan's line in the edge of the mud leaving from Liberty to Sommerset at the mouth of Morgan's lane a south direction about 75 yards to a white oak JJ Russ corner thence with Russ line to a little west of S 220 yeds to a ? thence leaving the pond in a south direction with said JJ Russ line to William Putate line to the corner near the branch thence with the meanders of branch to William Staton's line thence with Staton's line to Johathan Anderson's line and with said Anderson's line to a small chestnut as a pointer at the side fo the line thence with said line S691/4 W 130 poles thence to the beginning at a stone at the end of sand land on the Somerset and Liberty Road twenty one acres, 23 poles to be retained out of the north corner of said ? of land beginning at a chestnut in the Morgan lane thence S22 E 56 4/5 poles to a stone thence N56 E 78 poles to a stone thence S38 ½ W 39 1/5 poles to a stone thence S69 ¼ W 65 1/5 poles to the beginning containing 21 acres and 23 poles to have and to hold the sum with all its appurtenances thereunto said party the 21 acres and 23 acres his heirs and assigns forever with ? of general warranty.
