Silas Wesley and wife visited their daughter Miss Maud at Ed ___ke's last week. ___ the Miss Manilla Taylor is visiting her cousin Rella Floyed at Joyce. Miss Sallie Hill, daughter of Will Hill, near Hustonville, died Tuesday with comsumption, will be buried at McComack's meeting house grave yard Wednesday. W. M. Grewer shot John Franklin 4 times in Jamestown last Sunday evening from which he died shortly after. It seems it was done without provocation. Miss Mayme Phillips who has been visiting her sister, Mrs. A. P. Young for some time has returned to her home at Monticello. George W. Wilcher died very suddenly last week at Ellisburg, of valvular disease of the heart. He was 65 years of age; and was a very respectable citizen, a strict member of the Baptist church. He leaves a wife, 6 children and hosts of friends to mourn his loss. Steve Stines, of Anderson, Ind., and Mrs Pearl May, of Rollings, were married at Exchange Hotel Wednesday evening, Rev. JQ Montgomery officiating. The bride and groom were accompanied by Chris May and Miss Maud Glazebrooke of Rollings. Mrs. Bryant Adams spent Saturday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. Middleton at Nip and Tuck. Mrs. Bettie Cochran and son Walter of Louisville are visiting relatives here. Miss Ruby Fogle of Yosemite was visiting her aunt Mrs. Lena Taylor Monday. Mrs. Alice R. Whitehouse husband and children of Gravel Switch are visiting her father R. J. Rubards at Blusterville. Miss Daugherty, who lived on the ridge between Casey and Ward's Creek, died last week. She was much loved by her many friends and her death is the occasion of deepest sorrow. George Thomas Clements of this place and Miss Ida Keith of Rheber eloped to Tennessee and were married. The young people have the best wishes of their friends for a happy long and prosperous wedded life.
