Phillip Wethington, the husband of Mrs. Mary G. Wethington of the Clemmentsville section, has been awarded the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious service in connection with military operations against an enemy of the United States in France, Luxembourg, Germany and Belgium. Cpl. Wethington serving as a truck driver, suppplied the gun crews of his battery with rations, gasoline and water under hazardous conditions. The outstanding performance of duty and desire to serve exhibited by Cpl. Wethington, is a credit to himself and merits the highest praise. Cpl. Wethinngton is attached to the 83rd Infantry Division and so far as is known, is in Germany.
