Born Nov. 9, 1912, in Casey County, he was the son of the late John and Ida Swiggett Beldon. He was a retired farmer and former Green Thumb employee. He was the widower of Mattie Traylor Beldon and a member of Rocky Ford Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, June Wilcher of Liberty and Bonnie Gabehart of Campbellsville; a half brother, Lewis Beldon of Indianapolis, Ind.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson. He was preceded in death by a son, Vernon Beldon. Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bartle Funeral Home by the Rev. Edward Parton. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery. Visitation is after 6 p.m. today.
