Gracie West Bowers, 94, of Danville, died Friday at Charleston Health 
Care Center.

Born May 10, 1907, in Casey County, she was a daughter of the late 
Daniel Boone and Cynthia Beasley Eastham. She was a retired nurse's 
aide from Central State Hospital and Kentucky State Hospital. She was 
a former member of Southern Avenue Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Boyd and a son, Charles 
A. West.

Survivors include three daughters, Jean Grenell and Peggy Dupin, 
both of Louisville, and Rosemary Houpe of Cincinnati; a son, Billy 
Joe West of Louisville; a sister, Rose Smith of Franklin, Ohio; a 
brother, Otha Eastham of Danville; 26 grandchildren and 35 great-
grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Stith Funeral Home. Burial will 
be in Bellevue Cemetery.

Visitation is after 3 p.m. today and after 5 p.m. Monday.

Memorials may go to Southern Heights Baptist Church.

Services for Gracie West Bowers, 94, of Danville will be 1 p.m. 
Tuesday at Stith Funeral Home by the Rev. James Kelly. Burial will 
be in Bellevue Cemetery.

She died Friday at Charleston Health Care Center.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. today.

Memorials may go to Southern Heights Baptist Church.
