Lewis Cox, 94, of the Rocky Ford community died Sunday at Casey County Hospital. Born Sept. 26, 1907, in Casey County, he was the son of the late John W. and Nora Bell Coffman Cox. He was a farmer and a member of Rocky Ford Masonic Lodge 765 for 60 years. He was a member of the Casey County school board for 24 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Marie Cox. Survivors include two sons, Harold Cox of Bradfordsville and John Cox of Hustonville; three daughters, Nellie Beard of Columbia, Faye White of Liberty and Connie Reed of Hustonville; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Johnny Friend. Burial will be in Tapscott Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Troy and Chris Beard, Shannon White, Tyler Cox, Craig Griffin and Bill Myers. Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today.
