LIBERTY -- Services for Mamie Bee Edwards, 86, of Liberty will be 2 
p.m. Friday at Bartle Funeral Home by Raymond Alstott. Burial will be 
in Poplar Grove Cemetery.

She died Monday at Liberty Care Center. 

Born June 16, 1916, in Casey County, she was a daughter of the late 
Turner and Lena Hall Downs. She was a homemaker, a member of the 
Holinesss Church and the widow of George W. Edwards.

Survivors include two daughters, Louise H. Smith of Newport and Adell 
Johnson of Liberty; a son, William C. Edwards of Hustonville; two 
brothers, Herbert and Floyd Downs; 13 grandchildren; and several great- 
and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, 
Bennie R. Edwards; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today.
