Born Oct. 5, 1949, in Pike County, he was a son of the late Ergel and Gertrude Blackburn Hobbs. He was a former machine operator for Arrow Aluminum and a member of Blessed Hope Old Regular Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Doris Leatherberry Hobbs; four daughters, Connie, Bonnie, Candy and Kelly Hobbs, all of Lorain, Ohio; three brothers, Glen and Carl Hobbs, both of Lorain, and Clifton Hobbs of Grafton, Ohio; three sisters, Sylvia Hobbs of Sullivan, Ohio, Kathy Slone and Florence Johnson, both of Liberty; and several grandchildren. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Blessed Hope Old Regular Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is be after noon Saturday at the church. Bartle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
