OBIT: Clara Opal Lawhorn - 1999 Source: Casey County News (vol. 91, no. 13, dated Wed., 31 March, 1999) - Obituary Clara Opal Lawhorn of Cincinnati died Monday, March 22, 1999 at Eastern Star Nursing Home in Cincinnati. She was 90. Born in Casey County on 14 October, 1908, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Mary Taylor Richards. She was a housewife and the widow of Charles B. Lawhorn. Survivors include a son, James O. Lawhorn of Cincinnati; two sisters, Gladys Richards Sullivan of Russell Springs and Elizabeth Richards Kinslow of Bowling Green; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by two brothers, Otis and Marion Richards; and a sister, Emma Richards Helm. Funeral services were March 25 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel in Liberty with the Rev. Clifford Dehart officiating. Burial was in Green River Valley Cemetery.
