LIBERTY -- Stephen John McNew, 56, of Franklin, Ind., died Monday at 
Johnson County Memorial Hospital.

Born Dec. 18, 1945, in Milan, Ind., he was the son of Jane A. McDaniel 
McNew of Nashville, Ind., and the late Raymond McNew. He was a self-
employed painter and wallpaper contractor.

Other survivors include his wife, Nettie Overstreet McNew; three 
daughters, Leslie McNew of Franklin, Ind., Rena Ladd of Oklahoma, 
and Tabitha Hunt of Morristown, Ind.; a son, Brian McNew of Shelbyville; 
two brothers, Richard McNew of Nashville, Ind., and Jim McNew of 
Franklin, Ind.; a sister, Mary A. Flood of Corpus Christi, Texas; 
and nine grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Bartle Funeral Home by Stacey 
Cochran. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.
