Born Oct. 30, 1913, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Stella France Mayes Raines. She was a homemaker and attended Barnetts Creek United Methodist Church. Survivors include three sons, William H. Martin of Sarasota, Fla., Donald R. Martin and Marvin Martin, both of Liberty; three daughters, Vikki Ellis of El Paso, Texas, Mary F. Goode and Margie Martin, both of Lexington; two half sisters, Lucille Owens of Penilis Park, Fla., and Sarah Murphy of Mooresville, Ind.; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Rodney Keltner. Burial will be in Hiter Cemetery. Visitation after 5 p.m. Sunday.
