Born Feb. 20, 1926, in Casey County, he was the son of the late Fennimore and Nancy Ferry Roy. He was a self-employed merchant and farmer, member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, and Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Christine McQueary Roy; three sons, Delano Roy of Stanford, Darrell Roy of Russell Springs, and Rodger Roy of Liberty; two daughters, Carol Stubbs of Liberty and Alma Luttrell of Windsor; two sisters, Bernice Allen of Liberty and Verna Spraggs of Indianapolis, Ind.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today.
