OBIT: James Shackelford - 1879 - Casey County, Kentucky SHACKELFORD, JAMES Casey County "This veteran of the War of 1812 died recently at his Casey County home at the advanced age of 99 years. He was the maker of the celebrated Shackelford rifle, a rifle that for years has been the pride of the portion of the Country.
