Born Nov. 27, 1938, in Milford, N.J., he was a son of Vivian K.M. Schaible of Somerset and the late Jasper Jacob Schaible Sr. He was a retired mechanical engineer; founder of Springs of Joy Safe House; and an Air Force veteran. He was a member of Victory Christian Fellowship in Somerset. Additional survivors include his wife, Sharon Irons Schaible; a son, Jasper Jacob Schaible III of San Diego; two daughters, Joelynn Lee McKay of Atlanta and Joy Serena Schaible of Lexington; two sisters, Patsy Williams of Wilmington, Del., and Susan Armstrong of Rochester, N.Y.; a brother, Lester Schaible of Hillsborough, N.J.; and three grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Galilean Home by the Rev. Mark Harrell. Burial will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery in Nancy, with military rites by Casey County Funeral Squad. Visitation is 3-5 p.m. today, 6-8 p.m. Monday and after 10 a.m. Tuesday. Bartle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
