W. S. Weatherford
     Born at Bradfordsville, Ky., April 8th, 1834, was married to  
Mary A. Beldon, August 1859, to which union was born twelve children---
three sons and nine daughters.  He came to Kansas in the spring of 1869, 
where he has since lived.  He became a Christian  in 1859.
     He died at his home in Winchester, after a lingering illness
Monday, August 28, 1905, leaving wife and seven children, and many friends
to mourn his departure.
     Funeral services were conducted at the Christian church in Winchester on 
August 30, by H. E. Ballou of Effingham, and the body was laid to rest in Wise
cemetery to await the morning of the resurrection.
