Born in Casey County, he was a son of Hershel and Cleo Lay Wilkinson. Educated at the University of Kentucky, he served on numerous corporate nad charitable boards. Survivors include his wife, Martha Stafford Wilkinson; two sons, W. Glenn Wilkinson Jr. of Ocala, Fla., and Andrew Wilkinson of Sarasota, Fla.; and a sister, Alma Lou Haggard of Casey County. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Broadway Christian Church with the Revs. James Bird and Palmer Young. Burial will be private. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at Broadway Christian Church. W.R. Milward Mortuary, Broadway, is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Jerry Lundergan, L. Rogers Wells, Dr. Michael Gentry, Charles Moore, Richard Faulkner, Dwayne Rogers, Ralph Hacker and James Shuffett. Honorary pallbearers will be Gov. Paul Patton, Donald Webb, Dudley Webb and William T. Young. Memorials are suggested to the Wallace Wilkinson Memorial Fund, in care of St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington; Broadway Christian Church Memorial Fund, Lexington; or Hospice of Kentucky, 2504 Alexandria Drive, Lexington 40504.
