These are the first Hansfords in Casey County. The children Betsy Ann, Martin 
H., Polly, and William H are reported to have parents named Monroe and Polly 
Stevens Hansford. Still researching who Tabitha might have been... 
William H. and older brother Martin are fathers of most of Casey County 
Hansfords. At one time there was a large number of Hansfords in Casey County, 
living in the Walnut Hill area, and Allen's creek area of Green River. Many 
Hansford descendants are buried in Antioch Cem, as well as Fair Cem, 
Middleburg Cem, and Glenview Cem. Submitted by Sheila Hansford Elliott, great 
granddaughter of William H. Hansford born 1840.
