Brown Drops Dead ----------------------- While Trying To Get His Team Out Of a Mud Hole. ----------------------- Near Crofton Tuesday ----------------------- He Was Forty-three Years Old and Leaves a Large Family. ----------------------- Edward F. Brown, a farmer of the Crofton neighborhood, dropped dead on the road Tuesday while going to Crofton with a two-horse wagon on the Pool's Mill road. His wagon became mired in the muddy road and neighbors were helping him to pull it out. He was standing up in the wagon when he suddenly fell forward dead. He was 43 years old and leaves a widow and eight children. At Crofton he expected to take the train for this city. The tragedy occurred at 8 o'clock. He had been a sufferer from heart trouble for several years and it is supposed that the excitement incident to his predicament caused an attack of heart failure. He was a member of the Odd-Fellows and Modern Woodmen of the World lodges and the interntent took place yesterday at Liberty burying grounds under the auspices of the lodges. Additional Comments: Eddie was my great-grandfather. He was actually 39 y/o, not 43. My grandfather was the youngest of his children, only two when he passed.
