Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Freeman Chapel CME Church. Burial will be in Pleasant Green Church Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Gamble Funeral Home, and visitation with the family will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday. A native of Christian County, she was born Nov. 22, 1938, the daughter of Josephine Hopson Poindexter, Hopkinsville, and the late Earl Poindexter. She had worked at Jennie Stuart Medical Center for more than 22 years and was a member of the Pleasant Green CME Church where she was vice president of the missionary society. In addition to her mother, survivors include a daughter, Donna Wadlington, Hopkinsville; four brothers, Preston Poindexter, Chicago, Ill., Herman, Earl Willie and Waldo Poindexter, all of Hopkinsville; three sisters, Mary Oliphant and Josephine Wisdom, both of Hopkinsville, Sarah Joseph, Jeffersonville, Ind.; and one grandchild.
