Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Brook Hollow Baptist Church, Nashville, with the Rev. Drs. John Fairless, Brooks Faulkner and John Daley officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Nashville. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight at the Broadway Chapel, Roesch-Patton, Austin, Bracey and Charlton Funeral Home, Nashville. A native of Hopkinsville, he was born Oct. 7, 1928, the son of the late Harry Webster and Sarah Elizabeth Vaughan Lanier. He worked for Genesco and later with State Industries, Ashland City, Tenn., retiring as vice president. At Hopkinsville High School he was captain of the football team. He served in England with the Air Force. Survivors include his wife, Wilma Dean Gregory Lanier; three daughters, Mrs. Rodney (Lisa) Syler, Dinah Claire Lanier and Mrs. Gary (Amanda) Blackie, all of Franklin and seven grandchildren.
