Lucille Powell West, 78, Crofton, died at 8 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, 
2001, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center following a brief illness. 
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hughart and Beard Funeral Home, 
Crofton, with the Rev. Shane Clark officiating. Burial will be in 
Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight. 

A native of Christian County, she was born Nov. 23, 1912, the daughter
of the late Walter L. and Emma Word Powell. She was a homemaker and 
the oldest member of Dogwood Christian Church. Her husband, Garland 
West, died in 1997. 

There are no immediate survivors.
