Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, at the Senior Citizens Nursing Home, Madisonville, of natural causes. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Reid-Walters Funeral Home, Earlington, with the Rev. Dennis Mayfield officiating. Burial will be in Shaw Cemetery, Nortonville. Visitation will be from 5 until 9 tonight and from 9 a.m. Thursday until time for the funeral. A native of Christian County, she was born July 8, 1924, the daughter of the late Gobel Duke and Zadie Payne Duke Morman. She was a Baptist. Her husband, Ambrose Euell Whitfield, died in 1998. She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Samuel Ray Morman. Survivors include two sons, Randy Whitfield, Park City, Jeffrey Whitfield, Earlington; four daughters, Patsy Dilorenzo, Kuttawa, Barbara Hopper, Nortonville; Regina Stone, Madisonville, Loretta Barnett, Hopkinsville; a brother, G.H.
