Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Rodney Travis and the Rev. Gary Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Powell Cemetery, LaFayette. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday. A native of Christian County, she was born Jan. 20, 1917, the daughter of the late Lucian Bertha Clark Pendleton. She had worked for 35 years for South Central Bell Telephone Co., had worked as a receptionist at city hall and as a private sitter. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Her husband, David Whitaker, died in 1990. Survivors include three daughters, Jean Nofsinger and Sue Binkley, both of Hopkinsville, Ann Trice Holland, Paris, Tenn.; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
