Mann, 70, of Weston died Tuesday in a St. Joseph hospital. He had been in a nursing home in Plattsburg for several weeks and death was the result of bronchial pneumonia. He was born in Winchester, Kentucky on June 6, 1899 and came to Missouri in 1912. He had been a farmer and for some years was with Schindler's Grocery. He was married to Miss Sally Schindler who preceded him in death. In 1953 he was married to Mrs. Irene Gray who died October 20, 1967. Survivors are his two sisters, Misses Rose and Mary Mann of Weston and a brother, John Mann also of Weston and a stepson, Peter Gray of Kansas City. Rev. Charles Hagee and Rev. Carl B. Hoff had the services Thursday at the Vaughn Chapel. L.R. Vaughn at the organ accompanied Mrs. C.R. Hall. Pallbearers were George Rumpel, Albert Boltz, Earl Linville, Lewis Winter, Raymond Pepper and Ben Craven. Clay Mann was a quiet person, unassuming and congenial. He was especially fond of children and always had time for them.
