Winchester Sun, November 9, 1957
Walter Aldridge, 76, retired farmer, died at 12:40 pm. Friday at his home on 
the Boonesboro Road.
Mr. Aldridge was born in Clark County and was a son of the late Sidney and 
Mary Rainey Aldridge.  He was a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Vina Strange Aldridge, six sons, Clarence, 
Robert, Gilbert and Vernon Aldridge of Clark County; Ernest Aldridge, Richmond 
and James L. Aldridge, Tuscon, Arizona; two daughters, Mrs. Charles McPherson 
and Mrs. Warren Bailey, both of Clark County; 22 grandchildren and four great-
granchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Dunaway Methodist 
Church by the Rev. Claude Shimfellsel, and the Rev. G.W. Haley, pastor of the 
Mt. Zion Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Dunaway Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be M.B. Fox, George Osborne, Orville Osborne, George 
Hampton, Raymond Brandenburg, and Robert Cory, honorary, Wallace Burgher, J.W. 
McPherson, Everett Burgess, C.S. Venable, Elmer Berryman and Wilbert Berryman.
The body is at the Scobee Funeral Home.
