Marriage Bond 18 Jun 1794
Know all men by these presents that … John Allen and John Treadway are held 
firmly bound unto Isaac Shelby … Governor of Kentucky in the sum of fifty 
pounds to which …  to this governor or his … we bind ourselves our heirs 
exec & a jointly & severaly firmly by their presents & also … this 18th day 
of June 1794

The condition of this above obligation is such that whereas this is a 
marriage shortly intended to be had solemnized between … bound Jno Allen & 
Ann Griffin … this obligation … remains inforce …
