His Paternal Grandparents are Veteran of War Of 1812 John Madison Davidson and Polly Campbell. Maternal grandparents are John Hays and Jane 'Jennie " Callahan. He married Ellen "Romaine" Potter June 19,1880 in Clay County,Kentucky. They had 10 children as follows all were born on Wildcat, Clay County, Kentucky 1- Wilson Davidson born- August 20,1882- died November 9,1973 2- Dulcinea Davidson born August 1885 ----------- 3- Sarah Lisa Davidson born October 1887------- 4- Nancy Davidson born June 1891 died abt.1946 5- Bev ?{Buckhannon}Lucas Davidson born march ,1893 6- Obey Davidson born April 1895--------- 7- Farris Davidson born May 1898---------- 8- America {Meck} Davidson born April 1900 died January 18,1969 9- Buddie Davidson born 1903---- 10- Sylvania {Sylvia} Belle Davidson born March 15,1907 died August 26,1982 He was born and died on the farm his father had lived on, they were a family of farmers, hunters and trappers they were very proud of their farms and loved the adventures of living in the Wilds Of Eastern Kentucky. He was a God Fearing family man that loved his family and would defend them with a vengeance. I feel such a special bond to my Great-Grandfather even though he went on to be with his savior twelve years before I was born, at times when I look at his picture I feel such warmth coming from his eyes maybe because of the love and affection my Grandmother always spoke with when she told stories of him.
