Clay County, Kentucky: Commissioners Deed of D.W. Murray's Admn's plaintiff against D.W. Murray Heirs defendants pending in the Clay Circuit Court, an order was entered at the March term, 1877 directing J.S.M. Dickinson, master Commissioner of said Court, to expose for sale at public auction to the highest and best bidder, the property hereinafter described: and whereas said property was sold in accordance with said order, on the 4th day of June 1877 for the sum of $100.00 when G.W. Ball became the purchaser thereof; and whereas, the report of said sale was confirmed by said court at the August term, 1877 and at the October term, 1888, an order was entered directing J.W. Wright, Master Commissioner to execute a deed of conveyance of said property to said G.W. Ball, but for greater certainty, the record and proceedings in said case are referred to. Now, therefore, this indenture, made and entered into this 17th day of October 1888 between D.R. Murray admr of D.W. Murray, Nancy Murray, Sarah Jane Murray, Jarius Ball, and his wife Tabitha Ball, Harvey Hensley and his wife Katherine Hensley, Robert McCollum and his wife Mary E. McCollum, Nancy Jane Hensley, Mary E. Hensley - children of Elizabeth Hensley, John A. Murray, William H. Murray, James T. Murray, Robert G. Murray, Katherine Murray, Sarah Murray, Sealy Murray, John Murray, Martha Murray and Polly Murray, children of Joseph Murray, and John Lucas surviving partner of the firm of Lucas and Ramsey by J.W. Wright, Master Commissioner of the said court of the first part and G.W. Ball of the second part, witnesseth that for and in consideration of the premises and for the further consideration of the full payment of the purchase price aforesaid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the parties of the first part, by J.W. Wright Master Commissioner aforesaid have sold and by this writing do convey to said party of the second part and his heirs and assigns forever, the following described property to wit: One tract of land lying and being in Clay Co. KY same being the dower tract of land in this action laid off to Nancy Murray, widow of D.W. Murray, dec'd, and bounded as follows, viz: Beginning at a gum beech and maple between William Chestnut's and John Ambrose S27W 3 poles to a stake on the north bank of Sexton's Creek, thence down the creek in the middle of same with its meanders S28E 38 poles to a small maple and white oak, S55E 12 poles East 20 poles, N52E 22 poles, N47E 16 poles, N66E 37 poles, S47E 52 poles, S58E 40 poles, S85E 32 poles to a sugar tree, N77E 30 poles, N60E 8 poles to a stake opposite the Cave Branch, same course in all 22 poles, N44E 10 poles, N24E 14 poles to the mouth of a small branch at the entrance of an old cave, N41 1/2W 21 poles, N22W 30 poles to a poplar and hickory standing just above a spring, S74 1/2W 3 poles to a poplar, black oak and two black gum, a corner to E.W.
