Kentucky Pages 146 and 147 See page 177 for acknowledgment of Rhoda Smith Jabel Smith | Indenture John C Wilson & Gustares Inarries | This Indenture made and entered into on the 11" Day of January 1832 between Jabel Smith one of the Devisers of Thomas Smith Deceased of the County of Clay and State of Kentucky of the one part and John C Wilson and Gustares Inarries of said County and State of the other part witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of sixty, dollars in hand paid to the said Wilson and Inarries the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath this day granted bargained sold and delivered unto the said Wilson and Inarries all right title and interest that the said Jabel Smith is and may be entitled to as one of the heirs of Thomas Smith Deed or by will apperation of law or other wise in and to a certain tract of land which said Thomas Smith deed possessed it being the place or farm on which said Smith resided in his life time and is now occupied by Paul Henson & Isaac Taylor with all its appurtenances and benifits to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land yet undivided with all its appurtenances and advintages to the proper use and benifit of said Wilson & Inarries and their heirs forever and the said Jabel Smith doth for himself heirs & warrant and defend the said title of said interest in parcel of land against himself his heirs and all persons claiming under him but not against the claim or claims of any other person or persons whatever. Clerks offics January the 11" 1832 I Abner Baker Clerk of the County afsd certify that on the day of the date afsd. Jabel Smith acknowledged the above Indenture to John C Wilson & Inarries for the purpose therein specified And that the same stands duly recorded on the day of the Date aforesaid. A Baker Dover relinguinshed & recorded on page 176 *************************************************************************** Pages 207 and 208 Jabel Smith & Rosanah his wife to John C Wilson & Gustares Inarrier Kentucky Clay County set I Abner Baker Clerk of the County Court for the County afsd do certify that this deed from Jabel Smith and his wife Rosanah Smith to John C Wilson and Gustares Inarrier was this day produced to me in my office by the said grantors and acknowledged by the said Jabel Smith on the 11" Day of January 1832 to be his act and deed and the saide Rosanah Smith being examined by me privately and apart from her husband declared that she freely and willingly seal and deliver the said writing and wishes not to retract it and acknowledged the said writing again shown and explained to her on the fifth day of Feburary 1834 to be her act and deed and consententh that the same may be recorded wherenpose the said deed together with the foregoing certificate hath been duly admittied to record in my office Given under my hand this fifth day of Feburary 1834 A Baker. **************************************************************************** Page 177 Jabel Smith & Wife | Deed recorded on page 176 Wilson & Inarries | I Abner Baker Clerk of the County aforesaid do certify that this deed from Jabel Smith & Rhody Smith his wife was this day produced to me in my office by the grantors and acknowledged by the said Jabel Smith to be his act and deed as previously certified and recorded And the said Rhoda Smith being examined by me privately and apart from her husband declared that she did freely and willingly seal and deliver the said writing and wishes not to retract it and acknowledged the said writing again shown and explained to her to be her act and deed and consentosh that the same may be recorded.
