D. 1851 between WILLIAM SMITH SR and KESIAH SMITH, his wife, in U County of Clay and State of Kentucky of the one part and SILAS SMITH of the County and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars to we, in hand paid the reciept where of is here by acknow­ledged, hath this day bargained and conveyed unto the said SILAS Smith the following track or parcel of land, lying and being in the County of Clay and State of aforesaid in the waters of Goose Creek, containg fifty acres more or less and bounded as fo1lows, to wit, beginning at a lyin and 2 beeches, whence north 30 poles to a stake, thence w54 west 60 Poles to a stake thence west 100 Poles to a stake thence south 110 Poles to a stake, thence east 150 poles, thence N25 poles to the beginning. To have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land free from the claims of myself or my heirs, or all other Persons claiming through or by me unto the above names, lands conveyed in this deed hath here unto set their hands and seal this day and date first above written.
