Kentucky Page 64 John Jones & Wife to | Indenture Isaac Taylor This indenture of bargain and sale made and entered into the 26" Day of October 1829 between John Jones and Nancy his wife of the County of Clay and State of Kentucky of the one part and Isaac Taylor of the County and State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said John Jones and Nancy his wife for and in consideration of the sum of fourty dollars to us in hand paid by the said Taylor the receipt whereof we doth hereby acknowledge hath this day bargained and sold unto the said Taylor ts tract of land lying and being in the County of Clay and on th waters of Goose Creek It being the same land that Thomas Smith died seized and possessed of at the time of his death and the same land that descended to us as heirs and legal representatives of the said Thomas Smith Dece also we do hereby sell and convey to the said Taylor all our interest in a tract of land that was patented to said Smith and a certain Hugh White together with all and singular the appurtenances that unto belonging and the said Jones and wife will forever warrant and defend the title of the aforesaid tract of land free from the claim of themselves and their heirs or from the claim of all persons claiming by or through them but from no person else whatever It is further understood between the parties that we only sell the interest that we acquire to the said land as heirs of the said Thomas Smith Deed and no other In testamony whereof we have hereunto set our hand and affixed our seal this day and date aforesaid written.
